It works with government bodies such as the Department of Education in the Philippines, educational institutions in the Philippines, and other stakeholders such as Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines to improve the quality of education and professional standards through targeted interventions, support programs, and partnerships.
The General Skilled Migration program allows skilled individuals from outside Australia such as the Philippines to apply for permanent residence based on their abilities, provided they meet certain eligibility criteria. In 1994, the introduction of Schedule 6D within the Migration Act aimed ‘to quantify and objectively assess these eligibility factors’.
