Appointment of a registered migration agent, Form 956
What is immigration assistance?
A person, such as Jose Aniceto Respall, gives immigration assistance if he or she uses, or claims to use, his or her knowledge or experience in migration procedure to assist a person with matters related under the Migration Act 1958. The most common times assistance is provided is during visa application processes, which Jose and his Team Members offer in the Philippines.
Registered migration agents:
A registered migration agent is a person who is registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) to provide immigration assistance under the Migration Act 1958. If operating in Australia, migration agents must be registered with the OMARA.
Information on registered migration agents, including how to find one, is available on the OMARA website www.mara.gov.au.
As a dual citizen, Jose provides a remarkable migration service both in the Philippines and in Australia and information regarding his registered business are all populated within the Form 956.
Note: Filipino visa applicants utilising the services of a registered migration agent, must use a Form 956 for both the appointing and ending their appointment of that particular registered migration agent.
Consent to communicate electronically:
The Department of Home Affairs may use a range of means to communicate with you the visa applicant or their Australian Sponsor. However, electronic means such as email will only be used if you indicate your agreement to receiving communication in this way in the Form 956.
Electronic communications, unless adequately encrypted, are not secure and may be viewed by others or interfered with. If you agree to the Department communicating with you by electronic means, the details you provide will only be used by the Department for the purpose for which you have provided them, unless there is a legal obligation or necessity to use them for another purpose, or you have consented to use for another purpose. They will not be added to any mailing list.
It is important you use the latest versions of Form 956 and this can be verified by look at the bottom left or right side of the form.
