Request To Travel to Australia From Philippines Form

An online form is used by to contact the Department of Home Affairs if you are a Filipino affected by the current COVID-19 travel restrictions and wish to travel to Australia because you:

  1. are an immediate Filipino family member of an Australian citizen or permanent resident (being spouses, de facto partners, dependent children and legal guardians)
  2. have a compelling or compassionate reason to travel to Australia urgently?
  3. believe you meet a departure travel restriction exemption??.

By using this form the immediate Filipino family member of an Australian citizen or permanent resident MUST TRAVEL to Australia within the next 3 months.

The Filipino travelling to Australia must have read and understood both the Department’s Privacy and Security statement and agreed to them by acknowledging the following and signifying their Type Of Enquiry, as expressed below.

  • I am an Australian citizen and want to travel to Australia
  • I am a permanent resident of Australia and want to travel to Australia
  • I am a New Zealand citizen usually resident in Australia and want to travel to Australia
  • I am an immediate family member (spouse, de facto partners, dependent child or legal guardian) of an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident. I need to travel to Australia now
  • I have a compelling or compassionate request to travel to Australia now
  • I want to transit through Australia
  • I am an Australian citizen or permanent resident and need to travel outside of Australia
  • I want to travel to Australia for urgent medical treatment/medical evacuation
  • I have a critical skill and want to travel to Australia now

Filipinos are then required to read the information carefully below before they submit their enquiry.

Note No. 1: – If the Filipino holds a current a Partner visa (subclasses 100, 309, 801 and 820) they are exempt from the travel restrictions. They do not need to contact the Department of Home Affairs and will be permitted to travel to Australia from the Philippines if an airline is able to fly them to Australia.

Note No. 2: – Immediate family members of Australian citizens and permanent residents must comprise a) spouses, b) de facto partners, c) dependent children and c) legal guardians.

Note No. 3: – No other family relationship is exempt. (E.g. Brothers, sisters, etc.)

This enquiry type is for people who:

  1. are immediate family members of Australian citizens or Permanent residents, and need to travel to Australia now.

The Department of Home Affairs will not respond to enquiries that do not relate to immediate family members of Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents needing to travel to Australia.
